Description
For climbing most famous for Finale Ligure, but there's lots more Sport climbing, and some well-regarded Trad climbing at Muzzerone. Also at least good Via Ferrata route.
Not far away is other big Sport climbing areas around Nice France and Andonno in Cuneo province of Italy. And easy to reach more great climbing on the islands of Corsica and Sardegna / Sardinia, by overnight car-carrying ferry from Livorno and Genova / Genoa.
Especially Finale has a "micro-climate" so it can be dry when most of Europe is not.
The region of Liguria contains the provinces of Savona, Imperia, La Spezia, and Genova.

Getting There
Main city of Genova / Genoa has an international airport, but within driving range are Milano / Milan (MXP) and Torino / Tu rin (TRN) and Nice (NCE) and Pisa.
High-speed interstates / motorways / autostrada connecting to those same cities. So lots of Chamonix France residents drive (via the Mont Blanc tunnel) to Liguria for sunny climbing when the mountain weather turns bad.
