Description

Small bouldering area in the drainage below Matterhorn Boulder/Skillsaw Crag with ~50 problems VB-V9. The approach is a bit heinous, but it's over quick. Sharp, crystally rock typical of Windy Ridge, with a handful of standout problems that are worth the thrash. Shady late in the day.

Getting There

10-15 minutes from the car, a bit longer getting out. Park as for Matterhorn in the large pullout on the west side of the highway at MP 15.7. Cross the road and hike up the short trail to the Matterhorn boulder. Peer over the ridge to the south. There are two gullies draining roughly southeast. Secret Gully is the drainage to the north (left.) Look for a faintly cairned route west of Matterhorn that drops down the steep brushy hillside to the ridge separating the two gullies. Descend slabs into the gully. If you've managed to find the trail you'll arrive at the Seal Boulder first.
