Description
Rainbow Spire is the first spire that we climbed in this area. It is the obvious spire you can see from the Rainbow Trail at the second bridge. After backpacking in the area, it was calling us to climb it. Although the rock isn't the highest quality, the feature itself is beautiful, the route is exposed, and the objective makes for a great backcountry adventure climbing experience.
Getting There
Hike up the Rainbow Trail a few miles until you reach the second bridge. Cross over the bridge, and gain a short ridge off of the trail. Head up the ridge until it's possible to move right above some cliff bands to gain another broad ridge that leads directly up to the feature. It is quite a bushwhack.
