Merişor (Cranberry Section) Rock Climbing

The Merisor section at Pietrele lui Solomon is a small section of limestone with a handful of climbs facing southeast near the hairpin turn. The cliff has a good view of the Brana section of the canyon but is much shorter at 20 meters (66 feet). This section is not for beginners but does have two lines which are easier at 5.10a and 5.10c. At the time of writing the area is mixed with new and old sharp home-made bolts. One could spend most of the day tackling the lines on this little wall which sits half in sun, and half in shade. Most of the old strolling picnic people don't walk by this cliff so its a little better for privacy than the Cariera section.
