Description

Britney Spears Arête is the home to a few spectacular climbs. The most prominent being "Oops, I did it again." It is very obvious to see from the road, and looks like it is a part of Phat One Buttress. If you find Phat One Buttress, just look to the right edge, and the line you see is Britney Spears Arête. All you need is quickdraws to do "Oops" however if you'd like to do any of the other climbs you may want to supplement your draws with some small gear.

Getting There

Depending on where you've parked your car, either hike up the 4x4 road until you see Phat One buttress, or simply cross the road from where you've parked. Start heading up the scree. There are some cairns and a little worn trail through the scree so get on this if you can find it. Keep following this trail until it peters out under a cliff band. Follow the loose dirt up to the left until you can pop over a little rock ridge and gain access to the gully on your right. Get in the gully and start moving up further keeping your eyes peeled for a big red rubber hose that is tied to a tree and draped down a cliff on your left. Climb up this hose, and move around the ledge. Look for a large triangular roof, and bolts painted purple directly under it. Those bolts are the beginning of "Oops, I did it again."
