Description
Although Vancouver's North Shore mountains are more commonly thought of in terms of hiking and mountain biking, there are a handful of worthwhile alpine rock climbs for those looking for a bit more adventure. Climbing activity is concentrated mainly on Mount Harvey and the Lions, typically accessed from the village of Lions Bay, and Crown Mountain which is accessed from North Vancouver.

Crown Mountain and the Camel, Vancouver's North Shore mountains
Although none of these peaks are particularly high, the terrain is rugged and the approaches typically involve significant elevation gain. Views are spectacular.
