Description
While the rock tends to be a bit soft and requires care, this area is a good option if you're looking to get slightly off the beaten track. Just like Dame Jouanne it is rather chaotic and features some bad landings, but there are also many lowballs with good, sandy landings.
Good for groups of mixed abilities as there are orange, blue and red circuits, plus a bunch of unmarked harder climbs, including the classic highball prow Irréversible (7C).
The orange circuit is one of the best "alpine" circuits in the forest: it's long, and problems are often tall and exposed. Be careful if you're pushing the grade.
On top of the plateau are a couple of viewpoints with excellent views over the surrounding forest and the church in Larchant.

Getting There
From Larchant (SW of Fontainebleau), follow signs to Éléphant/Dame Jouanne. You'll pass the Éléphant sector on your left, then a carpark to your left (Bois d'Hyver) before eventually reaching a crossing with a dirt road, with an inn on your right. Park at the large dirt carpark on the other side of the road. Do not park at the inn (Chalet Jobert) unless you're going to eat there.
Cross the road and follow the path along the inn then along small wooden posts. After about 100 yards the trail veers to the left, then passes a large boulder to the left before you get to a clearing. The first boulders are on the hill to the right.
