Description
The Cup and Saucer has had a limited history of climbing, and is more prominently known as a hiking trail. However, the rock quality is actually amazing with some incredouble features. The rock ranges from 15 to 25 meters high. The large plateau has two main areas; the West Cliffs (Adventure Trail), and the East Cliffs. Grades range from 5.6 to 5.12. Climbing culture has always been overshadowed by cottage dwelling and swimming. Expect some routes to have brand new bolts, while others may have rusty outdated bolts.
Getting There
From the town of M'Chigeeng, drive northeast on the highway for about 5 to 8 minutes until you reach the big sign for the Cup and Saucer hiking trail. (If coming from Little Current, drive towards M'Chigeeng along the highway. After passing the turnoff for Bidwell Road, drive another 1-2 minutes before seeing the sign.) Park here. See sub-areas for specific trail directions.
