This boulder is quite large standing at good 18-20 feet. A variety of styles and a good range of difficulty make this one of the nicer blocks in the park.

Found an abandoned camp setup at this boulder today. Heads up that there is a good amount of broken glass along the base of the main face, and there could be needles (we saw some caps).

There was a fire ring just left of the start of Bear Grease which caused some spalling on the face of the boulder. This was my first visit, so I'm not sure what the rock quality was like before, but at least one good-looking foothold on the flake of Bear Grease crumbled when weighted, and a lot of small bits were crumbling off in my hands on the lower half. This could also be due to a lack of recent traffic, though. Sep 16, 2017

It's always ben a little bit crumbly down there, but I don't think the fire helped! Hobo encampments pop up all over the place in those woods. Sometimes I think about living in there! Sep 22, 2017
