Access Issue: State park fee area
Details
Numerous projects are in the Rock Cliff Recreation area, Jordanelle State Park, which is a fee area. Other undeveloped yet potential climbing exists adjacent to the park along the Victory Ranch (VR) trail near the turn off and along the Provo River near the Rock Cliff Rec. turnoff.
Description
This area is an open book. Numerous outcroppings exist with a range of routes waiting to be discovered. The rock appears to consist of a conglomerate. Be aware if trad lead climbing. I am not a trad climber yet, but based on my knowledge potential routes I see have only decent rock quality and protection. Also check holds before committing; it is an undeveloped area and rotten rock will be a concern. I see trad, Bouldering, and top rope available to varying degrees of difficulty. Wildlife and cultural/historical sites may also be a concern as petrographs and badger have been seen at these locations.
