These are the huge, blocky slabs across from the parking lot for Albany Covered Bridge. They extend southeast from the bridge, towards the Boulder Loop Trail.

Rock quality is mostly good and friction-y, like climbing on sandpaper, sometimes covered with a thin layer of fine green lichen or some of the larger, leafy lichen.

The area can get crowded with bicyclists and tourists checking out the covered bridge, especially on weekends during the summer.

Sometimes, you see ice-climbers back along the wall during the winter.

From the Conway area, drive west on the Kanc about 6 miles until you see a sign for the Covered Bridge Campground on your right, and turn in. Drive straight across the bridge (closed in winter). As you exit the bridge, you will see a large slab in front of you. This is one of the blocky slabs. Turn right, and park in the parking lot which is about 100 yards down the road.

Exit your car and walk towards the big slab you saw on the way in. You will see that the side of that big slab has a nice diagonal crack that is asking to be climbed.
