Racetrack Rocks sits on the east side of Henderson in a small cul de sac of washes that converge at the edge of the valley. It’s made up of excellent basalt (only a little crumbly!) and has a fair amount of bouldering with sit down starts to almost highball problems. The short cliffs that line the sides of this drainage, and a nipple of a hill that rises up from the wash, also have good but fractured rock with a few easy boulder problems and trad climbs. Kent Dirby is the first climber known to have visited the area back around 1990.

The rocks and small distinct hill are visible from much of Henderson. Take Equestrian Dr east until it turns to dirt, in a quarter mile it Ts at a power line, turn left, go another quarter mile to a dirt road on the right at the next power line tower. Park at a wide section of the road just above the wash. Most of the climbing is down low a few hundred feet up the wash but there's opportunity all around this little bowl.
