Description Suggest change

The second highest peak in Yosemite. There is a class 1-2 walk up that starts at Tioga pass. There are also some more technical climbs, like the Dana Couloir, and other climbs across Glacier Canyon on the Dana Plateau.

Getting There Suggest change

From Lee Vining, take highway 120, Tioga Pass rd., toward Yosemite N.P. Drive to Tioga Lake or Tioga Pass entrance. I think it's 11 - 12 miles.

Details: Some tree cover for the first mile or so of trail, quickly becomes sparse. Last 2ish miles are fully exposed, no trees for miles which increases danger for quick moving mountain storms.
