Description

First Crag on the left as you go up Dry Canyon. If you need "groomers" to climb don't come here for a few years. If you like the challenge of a new area and choss is no issue, you be happy here. There are 6 sets of top rope chains accessible by walking around on top. There are rappel anchors as well that canyoneering folks like to practice their techniques. There are belay platforms at the base for your use and to prevent erosion. Please do your part to keep them in working order. There are a number a sport routes most 5.10ish. Afternoon shade and a canyon breeze make this place nice even on the hottest of days. This spot gets morning sun in the late fall for warm fall climbing.

Getting There

This is the first crag on the left heading up Dry Canyon. This can be accessed from two trails off the main dry canyon trail. One is up the ridge and is visable from the parking are. The best one is 120 yards past the top of the railroad tie step latter at the beginning of the trail. Approximately 120 yards up the trail you will find a Cairn on the left. Follow this into the oaks up some scree then head back left along the trail through the oaks back west to the crag.
