Access Issue: Potential road closures in winter. Details

Description

West facing. Likely to have the place to yourself. Handful of routes, sport and trad, from 5.7 - 5.12d.

Getting There

Option 1: At 5 miles from where you turn onto Hyalite Canyon Road, look up and right and spy a buttress with a white colored west face about 200' above the river. Park at the next turnout, find a place to ford the river (Spring runoff not likely to be viable crossing). Aim for the crag and pick your way uphill. Apparently there's a light trail here...somewhere.

Option 2: Park at the Langhor Creekside Trailhead in Langhor Campground, cross the river on a footbridge, take a right and follow the paved path, then veer onto fishermans trails and follow the river downstream for 0.5 miles, eventually working your way up to the formation. Watch out for Moose.
