Description
Morning Glory Wall is a north-facing crag with generously bolted sport routes in the 5.10-5.12 range. One prominent chimney splits the wall. There are crimps, pinches, and slab.
Getting There
A 35 minute/1.4 mile approach and afternoon storms keep the crowds away.
Start at the popular Devil's Head Fire Lookout trailhead. Hike on the trail for about 10 minutes, crossing a creek and starting up the first switchback until seeing a picnic table on right as the main trail switchbacks south (0.4 miles). Turn left on a decent social trail with some blowdown. Follow this for about 20 minutes contouring with minor ups and downs until reaching a four way social trail junction at a small saddle after a log bridge.
Right goes to Morning Glory Wall. Boulder hop on on a cairned path to the base.
