Description

Round Top is a great snow climb in winter, spring, and popular with skiers and snow climbers. The Crescent Couloir is visible almost immediately, on the 2.5 mile hike in.

Getting There

Accessed from CA hwy 88 at Carson Pass.
From the parking area at Carson Pass, hike along the PCT toward Frog Lake and turn right toward Winnemucca Lake. Round Top is visible along the way. Leave the trail after passing Winnemucca and head for the Crescent Coulior.
Approach is about 2 - 2.5 miles. Car to summit to car is about 6 miles.
