Description

Sunny With a Chance of Rain is a fin of banded gneiss protruding from the southern ridge of Pusch Peak in the Pusch Ridge Wilderness. The cliffs are SE and NW facing so you can find shade at any point of the day. The fin is at an ecological boundary, with its SE face overlooking rocky desert and NW side bordering expansive grassland. You are guaranteed to have the place to yourself, unless the area sees more development. That being said there is a lot of loose rock so make sure everyone wears a helmet. All routes on the main faces can be descended by following the ridge to the east where you will find a descent gully to down climb.

Getting There

Park at Pima Canyon Trail Head located at the end of Magee Rd. Take Pima Canyon Trail for about a 1/4 mile until you can access the ridge that heads up to Pusch Peak. Take this ridge all the way to the cliffs. You can see them on the entire approach so its pretty obvious were to go. Allow 45min-1hour for approach.
