Description

Orange Crush is a medium-sized boulder with a featured northwest face. The rock quality is solid throughout, and the landings are good.

The V3s on the right here are pretty rad and straightforward with awesome holds. I actually ended up feeling the need to push the routes a bit harder and go to the right and use the arete with scrub feet smears that are extremely poor. You will barndoor off! Use toe hooks to get the arete, and cut your feet. Velvet is a bit more technique where as Orange Crush is great movement. For the route, I added on too, use Orange Crush till mid-section, and continue the traverse parallel to the right till the arete. Gain the lower section, bump to the mid-section, and bump one more time to the hood where you can finally get the higher feet to finish the topout. The top out is very clean, but the crux is surely the mid-section transitioning to the arete.

Fun climbs, and appreciate whoever cut the tree down. Was here months ago, and the tree was a knife sticking out of the ground waiting to murder a poor climber. Whoever removed it... saved lives. :P *Sarcasm but serious*.

I will mention the awesome project on the left side of this...looks around V9.... I did not send the route on the left... but was mighty burly.

This is a classic boulder in my opinion for a mid-level to high level climber. Nov 26, 2017
