Access Issue: Climbing Banned in National Park Details

A lot of questions coming in about climbing banned in Hin Chang Si, Nam Phong National Park. This is the sign at bouldering trail head!
As in other places in Thailand, the issue of access has always been a difficult issue. In Hin Chang Si, this issue is made worse by the fact that it is located in an area designated as a National Park. We have had and continue to have positive relations with local officials at the park, but unfortunately this positive relationship does not extend to the higher levels of management in Bangkok.
We recommend tourists to NO LONGER CLIMB at Hin Chang Si so as to not endanger overall access to the area. We are working to secure recognition from the National Park Service in Bangkok. The process will take time like working with other government agency in general. Gaining legal access will be impossible if tourists keep coming and violating the authorities to climb there. Until we gain the legal access, boulders in Nam Phong National Park is off limits.

Description

The first boulder on your left when you approach from the parking lot.
This boulder is part of a two-boulder cluster called “the sisters” as they face each other and look like each other like sisters (some may say they could have been named “brothers “but we were in a mood of honoring feminity that day). This boulder and her “sister” are the first to be met when coming form the parking, going west. They are in the shade in the morning.

Sister one has 7 problems (V1-V4) and 2 projects (probably V7-V8).
