Description
This is the Valley that splits Thompason Pass from The Books. It consists of a river bed that when frozen makes for easy access to routes on the main drainage along with a hand full of climbs located on some small tributary streams.
Getting There
If you have a sled then the 19 mile sand shed is the best place to park. If you on foot and have four wheel drive then you will save some time by starting from the 19 mile subdivision. There is a utility station and parking on the right hand side of the road (river side) that makes for a good starting point. Heiden Canyon is reached by following the Lowe River up stream. You will come across the first climbs after a mile or so.
