Description

Eros Tower is the northernmost tower along the jagged ridge running north from Morning Star Peak. This formation is labeled Eros Tower on Peakbagger, CalTopo, and Gaia GPS, though it has previously been referred to on Mountain Project as Vega North. It hosts Mile High Club and Redlining.

From north to south, the main named points in this group are generally shown as Eros Tower, Vega Tower, and Morning Star Peak. Vega Tower proper is the separate tower between Eros Tower and the main summit of Morning Star.

NWFS pass required to park at the Sunrise Mine Trailhead.

Getting There

Drive about 28 miles east on the Mountain Loop Highway, turn right on FR 4065 (1 mile past the Dickerman trailhead), and follow it about two miles to the Sunrise Mine trailhead. Take sunrise mine trail and cut left before it ascends Headlee Pass.
