Description

The rock quality is good, but some areas might be sharp due to the quartz mixture in the rock.

This area is somewhat secluded, but there is a ball-field not too far away from the climbing area.

The Quarries also have some spots where the rock is VERY loose due to the area being a mining area a long time ago.

There are also trees and bushes is in both quarries that may or may not get in you way while climbing.

Getting There

From the entrance gate at the park, drive down the road until you see a road to the right with a sign. Drive up this road until you reach a parking lot near a huge field with a pavilion. Walk past the pavilion on to the trail just past the large sign and about a minute down the trail there will be two huge quarries to your right. This area is The Quarries climbing area.

checked this out today, probably not much potential for climbing- super loose rock due to the nature of it being a quarry but a cool place nonetheless Apr 18, 2018
