Description
The Grand Canyon is now a major area in Skaha. It has three main areas - The Terraces, Tottering Pillar, and The Belfry - which boast a number of classic moderate and moderate-hard climbs. The easiest climbs are at the Terraces and the hardest are at the steep, gym-like Belfry. There are walls on both sides of the canyon, so you can avoid sun as you please. Enjoy this wonderful group of crags!
Getting There
Take the upper trail from the upper parking lot. After a 5-10 minutes you'll pass by the right side of Diamondback. Don't jog left at this point - stay on the Grand Canyon trail, following the signs when appropriate. Eventually you'll see that you're starting down the left side of a canyon, and soon you'll pass right through the base of The Terraces, which will be on your left. From there you can choose to continue down the path to the Tottering Pillar, and/or cross the Canyon to The Belfry.
