Description
The upper section of the North Island is similar to the bottom section, the climbing here is not as good as in the middle. Having said that their are some nice climbing areas if you are in the area. The most commonly visited are the sea cliffs at Ti Point and the urban crags in Auckland (Mt Eden Quarry and Maungarei Springs).
Northland is a very beautiful area, and is well worth a visit for non climbing activities.
