Description

This area generally has very very low quality sandstone.

There are likely only 2 or 3 worthwhile boulder problems (V1-V4) in the entire area. This area entry exists mostly for locals and university/high school students who want to get outside, boulder a bit, and/or take a short, easy break from work and studies.

DO NOT CLIMB HERE IF IT RAINED WITHIN THE PAST FEW DAYS. The sandstone will break and not only destroys problems but also makes injury more likely.

Getting There

From Tulsa City: Head west on 71st St and cross the Arkansas river. Take the first right on S Elwood Ave heading north. Turkey Mountain parking lot will be on your right.

From Jenks/Oakhurst/HWY 75: Get off HWY 75 on the 71st St exit heading east. Take a left before the 71st St/Arkansas River bridge on S Elwood Ave heading north. Turkey Mountain parking lot will be on your right
