. . (old name: The June Lake Loop has long been recognized as a little visit to Switzerland. "Valère" is a quartzite crag in the canton of Valais / Wallis, in the Rhone river valley in the southwest corner of Switzerland. Pronounce "Valère", using the French language of western Switzerland - roughly as ... vahl-err).
warning: The rock in this sector has not been climbed much yet, and some of the rock is still breakable and loose -- so the belayer and other people should stand far away from underneath the climber.
Getting Therehiking approach: First follow the instructions on the Silver Lake area description page to reach sectors 5 + 6. After passing left under gully coming down from the left side of the mini-peak "la Dent d'Argentine" (at the top of sector 8), scramble roughly straight up along the left side of sectors 7 + 8, then see this sector short diagonal up left.
. (or follow the instructions to reach sector 5, then continue up diagonal right a short ways, then see this sector short diagonal left).
