DescriptionMoose Crag is another excellent mini-cliff West of Rustic. Development began in Fall of 2015.
The rock is generally good and well-featured. This wall stays in the shade until about 2pm most of the year. A river crossing is required.
Getting ThereFrom Ted's, drive up the canyon until you pass the parking for the 420s/Bliss SWA, and park in the pullout at a large meadow, the same parking spot as the Black Boulder. Walk back downstream a bit until you reach a fence line with a DOW sign. It is legal to cross the fence and the river here.
After crossing the river, walk back upstream past the Black Boulders to a grassy hill heading up and right. At this time, there is no formal trail to the cliff, so be ready to bushwhack a little. From the top of the hill, continue heading up and right until you reach a small talus field that will lead you to the base of the crag.
