DescriptionWhile the areas around Antalya have gotten the most press recently due to their being featured on the Petzl Roc Trip, there's plenty more climbing in Turkey, and not that far from Antalya.
Aladaglar National Park was established in 1995 and spans 136,000 acres, a size you won't find in Europe. There's a huge amount of rock, only a tiny bit of which has been developed. Whether you want single pitch, multpitch, sport or trad, it's all there.
The main semi-developed areas are:
- Kazikli Canyon
- Cimbar Vadisi
- Kocakayalar Boulders
The park's website (in Turkish) is here:
An English language guidebook does exist, published in 2014 called "Aladaglar Rock Climbing Guidebook" which is available here:

Getting ThereAlaadaglar sits almost exactly in the middle of two big cities: Kayseri and Adana both about a 150km, 2 hour bus ride from the entrance to the park.
Adana is very well connected to Europe by flights due to being a major hub for beach tourism. In fact, it well worth looking for a package tour that includes flights and hotels to Adana, even if you don't use the hotel much or at all, as it can be cheaper than getting there alone.
