Description Suggest change

A wild jumble of boulders resembling some sort of fortification/institution on the side of the hill. At first glance you would think that there would be tons of problems here but that is not the case. There are a few really nice lines but most of the boulders are 100 yard cuties and only look good from a distance. The best part of the Cukoo's Nest is winter time lounging, it is very enclosed and protected from the wind. Expect temperatures to be 5-10 warmer in these confines. I have driven out to the Big Waters many times just to lay on the slab next to the McMurphy Boulder and take a nap.

Getting There Suggest change

Access this area by parking at the first pullout under the Begay Boulder, and walk north past both sets of boulders until you see an interesting slot between two boulders that acts as an entrance to the area.
