Description
These boulders lay at the terminus of a small wash further back from the road. There are several moderate problems on mostly good rock and a few difficult ones that make this a great little circuit.
A big wow fact for the Big Water Boulders, is that they filmed a portion of the original Planet of the Apes here. My father actually worked on that 1968 film and ended up meeting Charlton Heston and jogging with him every morning before they shot. Another wow fact is, "Who Slung Poo" was the first route I ever climbed at the Big Waters after being drug out here by Penrod in 1997. And a third WOW fact, is that they also filmed one the worst movies in Hollywood history out here, called John Carter From Mars.
