Description
This area attempts to describe the problems that are just outside and around the caves. Most of the climbs outside the caves (but still in The Caves general area) will be found on the west side of the cliff band along the trail that climbs the hill on the west side of the cliff. This area is considered to end below the School House area.
Getting There
This area can be approached many different ways but the most obvious is by following the trail along the western edge of the cliff band. More specifically, scramble over the boulders on the far west side of the Warmup Traverse area. If you find yourself staring up at Arrowhead Arete, just head west for 20 or 30 feet until you find the trail (if you aren't already on it). From there just head uphill. The western entrance to the Rupture Cave is a good starting point to figure out the area.
