Description

A nice shady crag up along the less-travelled ridgeline trail to Gwanaksan's summit. Has a handful of short sport routes.

The rock is super solid, face climbing with some occasional crack systems.

Sadly many of the routes aren't that great, at least below 5.10c. Most of the routes 5.9-5.10b are mostly low 5th with just a random awkward move somewhere to get the rating. There was one route we climbed that was a 5.10a, that was fun bottom to top.

Getting There

I prefer to get here by getting off at the Genetic Engineering Bus Stop at the Seoul University, walking south and east along the road 300yds/parking, and taking the trail off the small parking lot/building on the east side of the road just north of a 3 way intersection. If you pass an abandoned pool and contour it around to the right, and then take a small off-shoot to the left about 30yds after a small patch of laid-stonework on the trail, you are on the right ridgeline trail. Its about 25 minutes tops up the ridge, you'll see the crag off to the left from the ridgeline trail, look for the bolts shining. I plotted it exactly on the map here too so you can use the coordinates.
