Description
The Sun Dial is often described and likened to as being straight out of Southern Californian's Needles!
From its lime green and dayglo orange lichen, laser cut splitter cracks and bullet proof golden granite, The Sun Dial pillar is one of the all time Gems of San J's back country.
At the time of this posting all six of the main lines have been climbed from 5.8-5.11 !

Getting There
The Sun Dial can be spotted from several vantage points while tromping around the Others Cirque but in general it is pretty well hidden in plain sight. Even when approaching from almost any direction the magnitude of this formation will not weigh in until you are looking up from its base.
