Description Suggest change

A beautiful blank white limestone wall on the East side of the mountain, Bolted by Andrew and Katie when the monsoon rains put Karaweik wall under water for a few months. This wall is pretty sheltered from the rain, although parts will get wet if it's been downpouring for a while. It also gets some all day shade, although it is much cooler starting at 12:00 when the sun moves to the west side of the mountain. Being more in the jungle, this wall is more quiet and serene with few local visitors and no monastery loud speakers. The routes are a gently overhanging, and the wall boasts the hardest routes at Bayin Nyi so far. This wall is more so in the jungle than the other crags, so bring your mosquito products.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the road past past Karaweik Wall all the way around the mountain until you see some concrete stairs going up to a small cave on your right. Continue another 100 meters and Alamo wall will be the white wall on your right a bit past a small jungle hut. There's not much of a path at this point, but it's an easy 30 meters uphill through the jungle at this point. Alternatively, take the road past karaweik for 200 meters pass a few chossy caves and up some steps to the right. At the top of the steps you will reach the cave entrance with two short bolted routes to the left. Go through the cave, halfway through the cave you'll come to some concrete flooring, pagodas, and Buddha statues. Once you get to this point, take your shoes off until you exit the cave. Turn right when you exit the cave, wander through the jungle following a narrow (at times overgrown footpath) for about 50 meters and then cut up and right towards the wall. It's beautiful, white, and gently overhanging.
