Getting weather forecast...
DescriptionTwo good, shady summer crags are located in the forest near the Wildpark in Hundshaupten. They are quiet and seldom visited, despite the easy approach and ample parking.
The Wildpark is a bit like a zoo, but with not quite as exotic animals and not as many types. It's cheaper than a zoo, but not much smaller. They have a good number of the types of animals that they have and they let them roam free in their substantially large containment areas.
Due to the close proximity of this park, one could argue that these crags are kid-friendly. However, you'd have to leave your kids there while you go climbing 10 minutes away. The crags themselves, while offering a pretty stroller-friendly approach, aren't really kid-friendly. And the friable nature of the rock isn't exactly safe for them.
Getting ThereGo to Hundshaupten and take the road East and downhill towards Oberzaunsbach. In the big left-hand turn, turn left into the parking lot P1 directly across from the entrance to the Wildpark. Drive all the way to the back and park, making sure not to block the dirt road at the back. The GPS coordinates to this parking lot are given here.
Walk down this "Private" road for 500m until you reach the 2nd road which branches off to the left. Follow this road uphill to reach a higher road. Go left 200m to reach the Hutzelturm or right 150m to reach Enteignungswand.
