Description Suggest change

The region has over forty 4000 meters peaks, some with granite walls. The highest is Alam Kooh and its wall is facing north-north east. Takht-e-Soleyman is the name of another prominent peak. (There are 13-14 routes on Alam Kooh's wall and some more in the area which I'm planning to add over time.)

Getting There Suggest change

From Tehran drive 2-3 hours (without traffic) to Kelar-Dasht city, and then to Roudbarak town. From there the road is unpaved but a 4WD is not necesserly. The next destination is Vandarboun mountain complex in which you can spend the night. From here you either walk to Sarchal to access the north face of Alam Kooh and Takhte Soleyman mountain, or drive to Tang-e Galo to access the south face of Alam Kooh and Hesar Chal area. For both areas you will have the option of renting mules to carry your bags.
