Getting weather forecast...
DescriptionThe region has over forty 4000 meters peaks, some with granite walls. The highest is Alam Kooh and its wall is facing north-north east. Takht-e-Soleyman is the name of another prominent peak. (There are 13-14 routes on Alam Kooh's wall and some more in the area which I'm planning to add over time.)
Getting ThereFrom Tehran drive 2-3 hours (without traffic) to Kelar-Dasht city, and then to Roudbarak town. From there the road is unpaved but a 4WD is not necesserly. The next destination is Vandarboun mountain complex in which you can spent the night. To access the climbing areas you will need to walk to Sarchal Shelter and then to Alamchal ruined shelter (you need tents) from this point which takes half a day to a day. The good news is that you will have the option to pay for mules to carry your packs to Alamchal.
