DescriptionRemote peak that offers incredible views and great climbing. One can spot it on their way in or out of King's Canyon as the most prominent peak of the High Sierra (in view), split by a large snow couloir (in the spring/early summer).
Getting ThereThere are multiple ways to approach the peak, based on the desired route, amount of time and personal preferences.
Best way to approach the NW Face would be
From the East: start from Onion Valley TH, go over the Kearsarge pass, drop down the Charlotte Creek and hike over the Gardiner Pass.
From the West: Kings Canyon (Road's End trailhead), hike up the Bubbs Creek, cut north up Charlotte Creek and over the Gardiner Pass.
