This cliff has a few bolted anchors for setting up top ropes. I found one bolted route that climbs through a roof 20ft off the deck. I would suggest bringing supplementary gear if one were to lead it. There is potential for new routes to the climbers left on the SE facing side of the cliff that would go well traditionally. This little canyon has a lot of opportunities on some awesome albeit dirty basalt. I’ve spent a fair amount of time walking this area as I live just up the road from it. Generally Summer temps are pretty good here, but don’t get fooled by that. The altitude and dry air along with the “black” rock that will cook you will quickly ruin your day. The Sun hits the North side all day long and it gets hot, but the South side sits in the shade most of the day. Lots of cracks so it’s Trad Ready. This really is a beautiful spot and part of the Little Colorado River Network. Jun 30, 2018
