Description Suggest change

A cluster of boulders which were "hiding in plain sight" for years when the property had no access, including one giant boulder behind the abandoned lodge of the Decoppet Estate.

Getting There Suggest change

from RI 138 head north on Hillsdale Rd (east of Richmond Town Hall) for about 1.5 miles. Look for a large open lot on the left containing one large/long (currently vacant) lodge that almost touches the road (tan shingles, white trim). 156 Hillsdale Rd. The boulders are in the woods 100 yards west of the lodge, and some to it's north.

Park a couple hundred feet south before you get to the lodge, driving back between the loose row of trees just after the stone wall (avoid driving close to the trees, pls) To avoid the heavy poison ivy directly behind the house, head straight back past the yard then once past the back left corner of the lawn angle right 45 degrees towards the stone wall that leads directly in back of the house to the landmark Dance Hall boulder. Directions to the other boulders are from the Dance Hall Boulder, mostly to the north.
