Description

There is an obvious boulder on the left-hand side of the road and a large boulder 20 yards in the trees on the right as you climb the Chicago Lakes Trail to Gateway and Area A. It has excellent granite that sits in the sun, shade, and everything in between depending on the time of day.
The majority of these boulders are located within the Mt Evans Wilderness Area, which is regulated & patrolled by the US Forest Service. Climber Details

Getting There

Follow the Chicago Lakes Trail/Road as if you were going to Area A. This sector will be approximately 2.0 miles from the Echo Lake parking lot.
