Description
The rock is thus named for the window-like feature on the side which faces the Bindersbacher Turm. This classic and unique route (Fensterfels-Normalweg) is rated a UIAA 1, and it has some serious history. Furthermore, if you‘re particularly ballsy, you can try the jump across from the Bindersbacher Turm (the Verzweifelungssprung). Apparently it‘s rated grade 3 on the "jumping scale".
Getting There
From the free parking lot, walk across the road where it forks into the woods inside the loop that the road forms. Where it forks, take the left trail until you can see the crags appearing on the ridge above you. There is a trail which leads you up the hill to the towers, so don‘t get too antsy.
