Description
Once a popular ski area that operated from the late 1930's-1976 the now vacant ski slopes are grown in and used primarily for sledding, backcountry skiing, and some motorsports activities. There are several large boulders strewn around the woods.
Getting There
From I-395 continue to the end and take a right joining Route 1A East. Drive into downtown Holden and go past the intersection of Rt. 46 taking an immediate right onto the upper Dedham Road. Continue on the upper dedham road until you reach the fire station and bear left on the Bald Mountain Road. Bear left again at the intersection of the Bald Mountain Road and Johnson Road.
