Description
This is the biggest area at Dierkies Lake and is very obvious from the parking lot as the tall overhanging cliff band across the lake. The alcove is probably the best location in Idaho for overhanging sport climbing with somewhere around 50 routes ranging in difficulty from 5.10 to 5.13. This area faces due south, but due to the fact that it is an alcove, the routes on the far right get early morning shade, and the routes on the far left get late afternoon shade, but it is best to avoid this cliff in the summer due to the southern aspect.
