Description

The first place you get to when hiking in is Slick Rock Slab. The slab starts out fairly steep but fairly quickly becomes low angle so it is a good place for 1 pitch sport climbs with sport anchors. It is a great place to hang out and practice on some slabs before doing some multipitch climbing.

Getting There

It is the wall on the right when the trail first hits the dome.

Those bolts and that bail biner was there in 2015 when we started redeveloping the dome. We never got around to replacing those. My plan is to put another Fixe top anchor a little to the right of the 5.10a sport climb. That should be 5.7 / 5.8. But that still would be to the left of the bail biner.

Sorry, those bolts sound dangerous and I really should replace them and put in a top anchor. May 30, 2017

Anyone know what the route to the right of Slick rock Slab is? There was two bolts and then they seemed to just stop. There was a bail biner on the 2nd bolt and both bolts were under drilled and only finger tight. Had to do some pretty sketchy down climbing in ground fall territory.

Other than that the correct route for Slick Rock Slabs was great! Thanks again! May 30, 2017
