Description

This is a fairly formidable granite peak, with a nice pointy summit. It was first climbed in 1967 by Bill Buckingham and Lew Surdam via easy 4th and 5th class terrain on the west face. The southern aspect hosts the Vampire Spire, Canine and the Fortress.
You must pre register before going into the Vampire Peaks as it is part of the Nahanni National Park. Details

Getting There

From Vampire Lake, hike northwest up a steep section of grass, talus and thick willows up into a nice open meadow, stay in the left valley. You'll hike past the Vampire Spire and up another steep section to get to a nice camp below the west face climbing route. 5-7 hrs from the Lake.
