Description
This is a relatively new crag that is located in the hills of Jackson Village behind the Eagle Mountain House. A few trad routes were climbed in the late 90's by Jason Seaver & Todd Swinton, but the face routes were left untouched. In 2011 the crag was rediscovered and many new lines started to pop up. There is now over 20 established climbs! Some sport, some mixed, and some trad with a wide range of grades. The routes have been cleaned, but watch out for loose rock, things are still cleaning up. The cliff goes into the shade early and is nice on those hot sunny days. Eagle Mountain Cliff combined with Jackson Crag makes for a great weekends worth of climbing.
Check out the Eagle Mountain House for lodging. They also have a fun little bar and restaurant area for a convenient stop after a day of climbing!

Getting There
Drive to the town of Jackson, around the "town loop" and turn on to Carter Notch Rd. Drive up this road passing the beautiful Jackson Falls until you come to the big white Eagle Mountain House Hotel at 0.8 miles. Park in the very back and highest parking lot of the hotel (the one closest to the woods).
The trailhead here is obvious. Walk on the road for a 150 yards and take the first right on the trail, there should be a sign for Eagle Mountain. Head uphill then take the left when you see a little cabin. Stay straight at the next trail junction and hike along this trail until you see the cliff on the right. The total approach time is about 15 minutes.
