Description

This is the main area behind Frontón Beach, consisting of a tall face of blocky, mostly overhanging black carbonate rocks with lenses of white marble. There are a handful of established routes here ranging in difficulty from about 5.6 to 5.13, with potential for much more development. As of 2016, a new standard of hardware using only titanium glue-in bolts and anchors has been established for all new route development into the future. The rock quality varies from excellent to weathered and chossy. Helmets are advisable for belayers.

Although seldom encountered, watch out for wasps and poisonous centipedes.

Getting There

Hike in from Boca del Diablo (1 hour hike) or take a boat from Las Galeras. The beach crag is easy to find once you are at the beach.
