Details
Road Crew is a Cape Nature Areas and you need a permit. Permits can be bought online through climbing.co.za bor at places lke De Pakhuys, Traveller's Rest or the Clan Williams tourist office.
Description
Beautiful bouldering area up on the side of the hill with amazing views and high quality problems. Not to be missed if you are bouldering at Rocklands. It is home to many classics such as the Fred Nicole test piece Amandla (v14), the beautiful highball Cedar Spine (v9), the amazing Ulan Batar (v7), the roof climb out the arch Roof is on Fire (v5), and the ultra classic Mary's Roof (v4).
Getting There
Park at the top of Pakhuis Pass and follow the trail down the dirt road for 15 to 20 minutes. Look for the trail about 300 feet past the bend in the road (before the stream). It is the third major trail on the right side of the road. The trail should be obvious and it should take about another 20 minutes eventually heading up a steep hill then heading right to the area.
