Getting weather forecast...

Description

Very large, obvious, and picturesque limestone buttress looming right over the Gallatin River. Home to a few seldom-visited but quality harder sport lines to two pitches in length, mostly on the southern aspect, which is cut in two by a large slanting ramp system, which is used to access most of the climbs.

Some potential access issues with the private property below the main river-facing face.

Some room for development here. Lots of rock!

Getting There

Approach as for the Fin and Scorched Earth proper. From the developed Scorched Earth trail, find a faint path leading climber's left from the trail just past the boulder. Pass The Fin area and keep cutting left until you are at the base of a short wall with a couple bolted lines (Fake Tits and Real Assholes, .11a, bolts). The trail to the Fin is faint to nonexistent and could use some love.

Parking lot approach is dubious access-wise. Foot traffic is allowed on the road for river access purposes, and one could leave the road to approach the rock up a mossy gully (much shorter!).
